About Me

Jazmine Santillana is an intern at the NBC News Group Miami Bureau while pursuing a Master of Science in Spanish-Language Journalism at Florida International University.

Her work has appeared in The Miami Times, South Florida’s oldest and largest Black newspaper, as well as Caplin News, FIU’s student-run news organization. She is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

With a background in multimedia and print journalism, Jazmine covers culture and arts, climate issues, and politics—holding elected officials accountable while amplifying the voices of marginalized communities.
